Carla Preda: "I will like to be a businesswoman"
If we talk about personalities on the court in these new Torrejoneros teams and also, the brilliant start of the season by Marco Aldany in various girls squads, we think among so many girls of Carla Preda. The little boss of Nerea Sánchez Alevín team is our new protagonist in the Interview of the Month section, where she tells a little about her life, her important desires, and how the club year has been going so far, where they have already enjoyed several victories.
Hello, Carla!
What is your name, age, and tell us a little about your family history? How did you get into basketball, where does that passion start and how did you find out about T B S?
Hello, I am Carla Preda, and I am 11 years old. I get along very well with my family, I have an older brother with whom I do not get along very well. I started when I was 10, my passion for basketball started one day at school, I really liked it and a classmate told me about TBS.
The season has started, and your category is going all in!
How do you analyse your team from the start of preseason training until today?
When we started training I did not see it very well because they did not give their all, but today I think they do. They all trust each other, and we can go very far. I try to get them to trust each other; some have already done so and I am glad.
For those who do not know you, or have not seen you on the court, how would you describe yourself as a player?
What are your strengths, and perhaps the things you are working on to improve more?
As a player I say that I dribble very well and I bring the ball up. There are things that do not always work out, but you have to trust.
The best thing I do is attack my offense. I have to improve my shots and a little more on defense.
What does Torrejón Basketball Academy mean to me as a club, as a place where you spend your afternoons and weekends? And what can you tell us about your coaches?
For me, the club means a lot because I have good memories as well as bad ones, but it is where I spend a lot of time giving it my all, but the best thing is that I have a great time having fun while playing. I thank my coaches because they have taught me to trust in myself. There are bad days and good days but you always have to believe in yourself.
Do you have a role model in basketball? And if so, who? Why do you like him as a player?
Yes, my role model in basketball is Luka Doncic, I like him as a player, because he has shown that speed is not everything in basketball and that you can play very well if you do not have speed and that represents me a lot.
What would you like to be when you grow up? What would you like to study?
I would like to be a businesswoman. I would like to study business administration and management.
How would you describe your personality, and what hobbies do you have off the court?
I am shy, I am not very sociable but then I give a lot of love. And playing sports is what I like. My hobbies are listening to music, being with my family, and also traveling.
A piece of advice for those new girls who maybe do not know much about basketball, or have never played it, and would like to come and try out at T B S: What would you tell them about the experience?
My advice is to try to enjoy it as much as possible. If something does not work out for them, trust that nothing happens, if something goes wrong it does not make you a bad player. And that the experience at Torrejón Basketball Academy is unforgettable and you will be left with very good memories.
