Titles and medals! A postseason that is reaching its conclusion in almost all categories, and in #LaCronica we review the action of the last FBM weekends of May 11th and 12th, as well as May 18th and 19th and finally, May 25th and 26th May. This is how everything has been for our Club:

Champions, champions, OE, OE, OE! Second Year Benjamín Blanco is champion of the Eastern Region of Madrid after their most recent match on May 12th at the Sonia Abejón Pavilion against Colmenar Viejo (38-15). The Paco Merino-led boys have shown an intense offensive side, and in defense they have put the bolt in place to achieve this important result. Honorable mention to Benjamín Azul, who lost their match by only one point in the League Quarterfinals, and who have had an exceptional campaign as well.

The First Year Alevín broke their group undefeated with a 5-0, after beating Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B (63-37) at home on May 11th. Great second phase for the children, and we await pairings in the Playoffs.

The First Year Girls Alevín closed the second FBM phase in a good way with Lions Basket Arroyomolinos A this time playing in their pavilion (27-45), winning and finishing with a 3-2 record, behind C.D Estudio in the table.

The Second Year Alevín A has lost its undefeated record this May 11th with Baloncesto Alcobendas B (72-58) playing as visitors. This team surpasses us and finishes leader of the second phase, with us as runners-up with a 3-1 record.

The Second Year Alevín B rose after their negative start to the phase, this May 11th against Lions Basket Arroyomolinos B (44-27) at the Javi Limones. Record of 1-3 in the second FBM phase of this Marco Aldany League.

The Alevín Femenino de Segundo comes with two other defeats under their belt, first visiting on May 11th against Santa María del Pilar (63-37), and then, on May 18th against Club Juventud Alcalá (63-13) with whom they did not we were able to compete. This May 25th they competed against (34-78) Movistar Estudiantes Juana, which is our closest rival in the table and the girls have not been able to, thus ending the second phase.

The First Year Girls Infantil Preferente closed the qualifying days in the second division in style on May 11th, against Mejorada 2012 C.B (55-37). They are 4-0 in this part of the season, and the girls must be congratulated without a doubt for this great effort and achieving positive results.

The Infantil Preferente Femenino has had high peaks in its last two dates: first, winning on May 11th against Colmenar Viejo (43-58), and then, narrowly falling (42-45) in a great match also this May 18th against Claudina Thevenet Jesús María at Javi Limones. This May 26th at home, they had a great game (37-33) beating Colmenar Viejo. This June 1st we will play as visitors at 09:00 against Claudina Thevenet Jesús María and look for that revenge.

The Infantil de Primer Año B played with everything and had two close falls at this stage of the season: May 12th (31-39) against Distrito Olimpico San Blas at the Javi Limones. Then, on May 18th (52-42) against Isaac Newton A, visiting to finish the phase with little luck, and an important learning for what is to come, in the basement of the table.

First Year Infantil Torrejón Baloncesto has become strong and reached the top of the table in this phase, first this May 11th (47-44) after beating San Ignacio Torrelodones at home. Then, on May 18th, they played a great game visiting C.D Estudio (54-53) and despite losing by just one point, we have secured the lead for what is to come.

The Infantil Preferente has had "collegiate" days, first against Colegio Estudiantes Las Tablas A (55-42) with a great victory this May 15th and then, defeat against Movistar Estudiantes D (47-26) on May 18th as visitors. The tone has remained uneven with the return game against Colegio Estudiantes Las Tablas A, on May 25th (48-34) in their pavilion. Now, we will close the qualifying phase this June 1st at 12:30 against Movistar Estudiantes D at the Nuria Fernández. We just need that one win.

Infantil A continues to add an important competitive touch, since this May 12th, visiting C.B Las Rozas B (50-46) they fell by very little. The match that closed this third phase in Bronze was on May 26th at the Nuria Fernández, against Real Canoe B (38-29) with a victorious balance. The category finished with a 2-4 record.

The Girls Cadet with two dream days to chain victories: on May 11th, visiting the Rosas Olympic District (30-31) they closed in a tremendous way to ensure the difficult victory. Then, at home on May 18th, they beat Movistar Estudiantes A resoundingly (61-35) in the morning. The girls continue to be first in this phase of the season, despite the fact that on May 25th they fell narrowly (36-39) against Distrito Olimpico Rosas. We will go to the last game of the phase to defend our position, on June 1st at 10:45 at the home of Movistar Estudiantes A, at the Ramiro de Maeztu.

Our Blue Cadet 2009 entered the qualifying round for the fifth division and this May 11th at the Javi Limones they beat Colmenar Viejo D (47-25), to start month number five well. Subsequently, an even more important match was won by far (52-55) against Baloncesto San Fernando Blanco as visitors. Our record is 3-2, after this May 25th we won (30-37) against Colmenar Viejo, the bottom of the table. We are going to the last game of the qualifying round against Baloncesto San Fernando, this June 1st at the Nuria Fernández at 09:00, and a win would confirm our second place in the table.

Cadete Blanco 2009 has been able to add to its qualification and playoffs path, this May 11th against Colegio Miramadrid Paracuellos B at home (49-36), and later, this May 18th (35-47) winning on the road against Raíces Móstoles. Double victory, which temporarily places us as leaders. This May 25th in their pavilion, we played and won well (16-63) against Colegio Miramadrid Paracuellos B, and were group leaders with 4-1. This June 1st at 2:15 p.m, we will be back at the Nuria Fernández to face Raíces Móstoles C.

The Torrejón 2008 B Basketball Cadet has had cruel luck, playing intensely but missing the victory in this qualifying round in the third division this May 11th (45-48), against Veritas Pozuelo. Then, another tight defeat (70-65) visiting Parque Cataluña Torrejón on May 18th. Last weekend we had a great game not for the faint of heart, with what was the return game against Veritas Pozuelo, visiting, on May 25th (28-29) with a positive balance. Only one victory separates the four groups from each other, a crucial last day at the beginning of June when on the 1st of this next month at 10:45 we will play against Parque Cataluña Torrejón Negro at the Nuria Fernández.

Cadete Baloncesto Torrejón 2008 A is in the Playoffs in the second division: on May 11th they played well, and won (44-62) at the home of C.B Isaac Newton. Then, we have put a lock on the Round of 16 tie with just enough this May 18th (65-64) against Isaac Newton A, to advance to the Quarterfinals. It iss a shame, this May 25th and 26th of the month, we could not work it in the series against Baloncesto Villalba. First, a loss at Javi Limones (56-74) and then, visiting them the next day (78-54) we said goodbye to the season with another defeat.

Cadet B failed on their quest this May 12th at the Javi Limones, against Baloncesto Villalba (51-67) and we finished the phase with a 0-3 record, in third place in Silver.

Cadet A began the third phase in the reclassification to aspire to fifth place in all of Madrid in Gold this May 12th against Baloncesto Torrelodones A (71-60), winning. Then, another great offensive performance (80-56) made us win against C.B Las Rozas A on May 18th. This trend was maintained when the visitors beat Spanish Basketball Academy on May 25th (79-85). Record of 3-0 in the phase, objective more than achieved. We are fifth place in Madrid.

Junior Masc. Preferente tied the key against C.B Pizarro Campus Ávila (75-69), advancing to the Quarterfinals with another victory on May 11th. And what a crazy series we have had against Baloncesto Leganés, first, falling (55-61) at the Sonia Abejón this May 18th, and on May 19th, turning the series around with a gigantic victory (69-77) that due to a differential of points qualifies us for the league finals, come on go! Congratulations to all the stars, to Tomás Morales and his technical staff. This May 26th, D-Day. The final battle has been won against C.B Moratalaz A (70-77) and today we can say that we are the Preferred CHAMPIONS of the First Division. Applause to all. The grand final can be enjoyed again in its entirety on the FBM YouTube channel.

Junior B could not score on May 12th (84-76) at the home of A.D.C Boadilla A. We finished in second place in the table, in this phase.

Junior A returned to action in the reclassification for places from fifth to eighth in Madrid, against Pablo Laso Academy (77-78) this May 19th at the Javi Limones. An absolute parity against this rival, who finishes sixth in Madrid, winning the overall tie by just one point. Congratulate Agustín Sánchez for competing in a big way with this group in 2006 and 2007, as well as the coaching staff, and say goodbye to the graduates from their junior phase towards the senior jump.

The Under-22 Bronze team took on its Playoff series, first as we had at the home of Colegio Menesiano (52-72), an important victory in the first match of the Round of 16. The second of the series was on May 12th (52-53) and despite the close loss on the visit, it was classified by point differential. The League Quarterfinals began this May 19th, beating C.B Arroyomolinos (63-79) at home. The lock has been put on this, and we advance to the finals this May 26th after winning the second leg at Javi Limones (79-49). Great work by the group. We start the semifinals this June 1st, away at 12:30 against Valcude Alcobendas B. The second leg? This very next June 2st, at the Javi Limones at 5:45 p.m. so we will see each other there to support the kids in their possible berth to the final of the competition.

The U-22 Oro team became strong again on their way to the Playoffs, winning the first game of their Quarterfinal series (82-58), against Virgen de Atocha at home. Good victory for Nacho Gallego-led team. The return game will be this May 26th, it has been a crazy game in the rival team pavilion. Victory in overtime! (73-80). We came from behind to force extra time and then beat Virgen de Atocha on this difficult court. We await our rival in the semifinals after this weekend, after Games #3 of the other qualifiers.

And to close this edition, disappointment of the National Senior in the VIPS League, which started very well in its Quarterfinal match against C.B Tres Cantos winning, and then could not continue with the final push losing in "straight sets" on May 11th ( 87-62) in the La Luz Pavilion. And then, the mission could not be completed in the third and final match (52-74), falling at the Javi Limones, saying goodbye to the Final Four FBM with our audience always supporting us. It has been a great year, despite not achieving this goal, and those from Colo Zuttion deserve praise. VIPS League leaders in the regular season, with a steamroller record, and with great sensations that predict that next season this will go even further. This goes on.
