Final outcomes and learning curves in this end of the season
Let us go for another one, here we are with #LaCronica. Month of June, month of season closures, balance, analysis and planning the steps for 2023-2024. Once again we come with the summary of how another weekend was in the different FBM categories in which we competed:
We have been present watching the last victory of the girls of the Second Year Alevín (21-57) at the home of Liceo Francés Ana. We are the only team with 4-0 and we will look for another victory in an undefeated duel against Distrito Carabanchel this 4th of June at Javi Limones at 11 AM. You can see the best of the victory against the French Lyceum on the YouTube channel.
The Second Year Alevín in the reclassification closed with victories against San Viator (73-44) at our home, and then this past May 27 as visitors also (60-68) against Valdefuentes Basket Futuro. We finished this phase with an undefeated record of 3-0, a spectacular year for Miggy Álvarez team, and looking forward to entering the Infantil category.
The Infantil First Year has been phenomenal, once again, with a double victory. First against Pureza de María (27-38) who was also undefeated in the group, at this stage of the year. Then, in a thriller, we beat Valcude Alcobendas B at home (39-37) to win this phase, with a 5-1 record. Congratulations to the kids with this great end of the season.
The Infantil Femenino team returned to action on May 27th and it could not be against Parque Cataluña Torrejón (38-55), in the derby. The girls finish in third place in the table, going 2-4 in the phase and they deserve a round of applause.
Triumphs after triumphs for the Yellow Preferred Children, who played and won again against Veritas Pozuelo (75-25) to close the season with an upward curve. categorical 6-0, undefeated and with a smile from ear to ear. Come on!
Preferred Children stepped forward and had two victories, ending with another against Colegio Estudiantes Las Tablas (62-30), leaders with a 2-1 record and for them the path continues. We move on.
Our Infantil A could not beat C.B Arganzuela Centro at the start of May, then had a rest day, and returned with verve to beat A.D.C Boadilla (56-74) as visitors. Second place in the table for the main team, and congratulations to the 2009 graduates who go up to the Cadet category.
The Female Cadet comes from beating C.B Villalba at Nuria Fernández (59-47) to close with a flourish, with the first victory of the phase after these two defeats.
Cadete B Preferente was surpassed by C.B Majadahonda this May 20 at 4:00 p.m. (47-15), but then he was able to redeem himself and sweep A.D.C Boadilla the following weekend at Javi Limones (38-29). Mark of 2-4 in the phase, good to fix the third place in the standings.
The Cadete A Preferente stayed in the Quarterfinals (52-64) against San Ignacio Torrelodones, after falling in the last of the two matches of the matchup.
Our Cadet B set his authority on May 7 against C.B Isaac Newton (54-52) since we were the two undefeated in the group of 4. TBS, 3-0 the record then in the phase to tie everything up. Tremendous for the boys.
Cadet A inflated again in the face of adversity, first against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada A (100-88) this May 21st and counting casualties, what a win. Then, in addition to visitors, the Cadet pushed forward again to beat C.B Alcobendas (70-75) and tie Real Canoe A at the top of the table in this Third Golden Phase. Chapeau for Agustín Sánchez and his boys.
Junior B Preferente must receive a round of applause too, since despite running aground in the Quarterfinals of this division 3 against Santa María del Pilar B (71-64) (69-66), he has left an excellent image. You are competitors. Unfortunately the point differential in the first leg proved to be the final difference and the season is over.
Junior A Preferente ended its season in a bittersweet way, after failing to overcome C.B Leganés A (46-53) - (63-64) due to the point differential, despite having won the last of the two games on the road. Congratulations to the kids who competed and were always in the upper zone.
The Junior Women had a difficult match against a rival they had won, the Carabanchel District (43-19) - (37-41), which has defeated us twice and thus eliminated us in the Round of 16 in this second division. A goodbye to the season, and to part of the graduating girl group. We will see each other again next year with the 2006, yes!
Junior B beat Baloncesto Fuenlabrada B (68-77), visitors this May 7 at 1:30 p.m. We are leading the group by point differential with a 2-1 record, despite the three-way tie with Fuenlabrada and SBA. Our Junior A after an unexpected fall against Baloncesto Torrelodones A (69-63), a rival we had swept in the regular season, had the obligation to throw in the rest this May 7th at Javi Limones to break this matchup and it could not be ( 70-70). The clock ended with a tie, and by going to the points differential, Torrelodones advances above us in the standings.
The U-22 Bronze with a walk, a victory in process this May 6th at Nuria Fernández against Parque Europa (76-32). With this, we finished quarterfinals in Madrid in the regular phase of the category with a record of 16-6. We await the Playoff crosses.
Sub-22 Oro advanced by far in the Round of 16, not letting San Viator breathe with victories in both games. In the first match of the Quarterfinal matchup against Uros de Rivas (61-70), we fell at Javi Limones and it is time to do the rest this June 4th at 4:30 p.m. to win, even the series and force the finish in the third game.
The National Senior had the turn this May 13th at Javi Limones against Olympic District, and could not win (56-68) to force the third and decisive game. It has been a great year for the group, which, although it faltered during the regular round, knew how to get the key victories and learn. Those of Colo Zuttion have evolved and promise to set the tone for next year, with their dream intact. We want to go up to the EBA League. A round of applause for the opponent. Olympic District, which later won and was promoted to the EBA League.
