Huge victories and we are enrolee for the FBM Playoffs
The season is nearly at the finish line and we are hunting the goal: Playoffs. This is the sweet spot on which our squads work so hard to get to. Our calendar year is almost over, and on this edition of #LaCronica we go through what happened this past weekend at TBS:
The first year Girls Alevín won with a terrific defensive display (8-15) over Femenino Alcorcón Azul, as visitors. This category returns to the fold on March 18th at 18:00, where we will face Spinola Chamartín. We currently have a 3-1 record in the standings of the actual phase FBM. Lets go, girls!
On the other hand, the first year boys Alevín fell (42-72) for another consecutive weekend, this time as the home team against Movistar Estudiantes "Martín". We will return to the court on March 26th, visiting GSD Baloncesto Alcalá at Gredos San Diego, in the town of Alcalá de Henares nearby Madrid. That game will be held at 17:00. We have to step up, kids!
The boys of Alevin 2° year were unable to beat Buen Consejo (45-96) at the Joaquín Blume this past match day on March 12th. It has been a tease that first victory of the phase. We will pursue payback against thus very same rival this upcoming March 19th at 11:15, at Buen Consejo school.
Our girls of the Alevin 2° year squad did not have enough to beat (37-73) Movistar Estudiantes "Leslie" on March 12th, losing by double digit points. The group now falls to 1-4 in the general standings, while we await the next game on March 26th. The rival team will be C.D.V.
Preinfantil was defeated (67-34) at the hands of Baloncesto Alcalá at Espartales, in Alcalá de Henares on March 12th. It was a painful loss, as this is a direct competitor that got the chance to tie us with a 4-1 record near the top of the standings. On March 26th at 13:00 hours, it is our turn to receive San Ignacio de Torrelodones as home club.
Infantil Azul had a rough match day (55-5) on the offensive end, losing to Colegio Estudiantes Las Tablas "B" by missing lots of shots. This too is a direct rival in the lower-end of the standings as us, and we expect to be out of the basement when we face this same team on the next weekend.
Infantil A went on a field day to Collado Villalba this last weekend, and we faced and beat (65-72) Baloncesto Villalba. A victory that allows us to continue dreaming. We are headed to the FBM Playoffs on the top seeded league! A tough match day this upcoming weekend, when on march 20th at the beginning of the Round of sixteen on the Oro pool play we head to Fuenlabrada to battle against Fuenlabrada A.
Cadete Amarillo played and bet heavily at the start, but it did not get them in the second half. A very disputed match in Madrid against A.D.C Joyfe (39-29) where the rival coach was expelled, and the boys did not know how to capitalize in the final quarter. We will seek this March 19 the revenge in our pavilion. The highlights of this match on our YouTube channel.
Our Cadete Azul (52-73) could not against C.B Arganzuela Centro, which is a team that fights in our zone of the low table. The team hopes to get out of the negative pothole next weekend.
The Female Cadet suffered and go in what way, but, how you enjoy winning no matter how much. Our girls were able to defeat by the minimum (34-35) of visitors to Marianistas Amoros Blanco to start this key on the right foot. We will face this rival again, of course, this weekend, at Javi Limones.
Cadete Preferent faced Isaac Newton Rosa as visitors (37-65), and went ahead with this first part of the two-game tie. We will see each other again this weekend, the Joaquín Blume awaits you.
Our Cadete Torrejón Basketball B had problems against Ricopia Funbal Alcalá C B J A (81-54) and is still in the basement, still without victories, in the Silver group of this FBM season. The next match will be around March 27, when we will have to go to the Felipe Reyes Pavilion to play against C.B Getafe. Great game that we lived this last March 13 in Lemons.
Perhaps on one of the best games of the course. Real Canoe was able to get just enough and won (78-81) Cadete A, who stood up after the fall in the first leg and could have won it, even forcing extra time. There, we have run out of gas in the added minutes after the draw. The category, despite not achieving victories in this group stage, advances to the FBM Playoffs, where Olympic District A awaits us as the first rival, this weekend that begins.
Junior Preferred had a day off and this weekend they will have a double round, back-to-back, when we first face Menesiano at Limones, and then this Sunday we have to go to Madrid to close the deal. Hopefully, with two wins, so come on guys!
Our Basketball Torrejón B has done the heroic and just enough (55-56) has defeated San Viator D, to continue as escorts of the leader in this category. A titanic effort for the boys, who have left everything on the track. Congratulations to them. It is worth double because we tied this team for the wining record. Tomorrow the 19th we have to close this key before them, and look for another victory.
Junior B is in devastating mode, shooting rivals and the most recent was (54-75) Baloncesto Alcalá, also beating them on the road. Overwhelming record of 10-0, more leaders than ever in this phase and in great rhythm in this final phase. Tremendous performance of the U-18s. On March 27 we will play against Ricopia Funbal Alcalá.
Our Junior A beat San Viator again (64-88), and thus sealed the pass to the FBM Playoffs in Gold. Undefeated in the phase, defeating all the rivals that have been planted against us twice. The postseason is coming. Our first rival will be A.D.C Boadilla, this coming weekend.
The Sub 22 did their homework over (94-52) Olímpico 64. We extended to seven wins, this one undefeated. We will face this same rival on the 20th of this month, now at its headquarters in Madrid.
Senior Nacional defeated Basket Veritas twice (66-85) in Somosaguas, and we achieved that long-awaited victory 12. We are in sixth place in the table of the First National VIPS League, after the last numerous consecutive victories. On Saturday we will measure ourselves at the SBA Arena at the Spanish Basketball Academy, to continue dreaming, with this comeback in the pressing part of the League.
