First victory for the First Year Benjamin Girls in #LaCronica

What a year, family! Also, what an emotional weekend we have witnessed, which we will tell you about in #LaCronica. Torrejón Basketball Academy Mini teams reaching the Playoffs for the first time, boys scoring their first points, and the beautiful and brave Girls of the First-Year Benjamín who tried so hard and finally made it this April 5th and 6th.

The First-Year Benjamín Girls have pushed, failed, suffered, but have not lost their motivation to improve and believe that they can do it as a group, and here they are. First win of the season for the girls, yeah! (Applause). Javi Limones stopped to applaud them after getting started in basketball and learning from the defeats, which have been seventeen so far. They won well (38-6) against Ciudad de Móstoles 2017, in the race for the 45th to 48th reclassification spots in the league. Highlights on the YouTube channel. C.D.I. Rozasbasket will be their next opponent, this April 26th at their home arena.

The Second-Year Girls Benjamín were not far behind on April 5th against C.B. Coslada (38-36) at the Javi Limones Stadium, taking their first win in this phase. Congratulations to them too! It is by April 26th when we play Brains Moraleja at the Javi Limones Stadium, in the final run for the 50th to 53rd spots.

The First-Year Boys Alevín won again (40-48), against Alcorcón Basket B at their home arena. First win in this reclassification phase from 43rd to 48th place. The division returns to the court on April 26th, when we host Alameda de Osuna 2014 at the Javi Limones Stadium, at a time yet to be determined.

The First-Year Girls Alevín team could not turn around that result on the road this past April 5th (78-27), being defeated again by Baloncesto Rivas Parque Sureste A, a formidable opponent and very well-trained. This is the end of our journey in the FBM Playoffs, which, despite these losses in the group, has been very important. We have come together as a group, won, and even dominated in the league, and we will know how to compete for the Gold League next year.

The Second-Year Boys Alevín Blanco team had a bye weekend of April 6th. The category will return to action on April 26 against Juventud Alcalá at the Javi Limones Stadium, at a time yet to be determined, but we will report on it.

The Torrejón Boys Second-Year Alevín team now defeated Movistar Estudiantes Garino (69-19) on March 22 at the Javi Limones Stadium. We are ahead with a 16-1 record. Playoffs, Playoffs! A tremendous campaign from the David Sánz Jr.-led team, with a stellar Maxi Maxt. We are in the Round of 32 playoffs on April 26 at the Ángel Durango Stadium, against Lions Basket Arroyomolinos A at a time yet to be determined.

The Second-Year Girls Alevín team secured another victory (39-70) against Valcude Alcobendas at their home arena. We lead the standings with a 17-1 record. The Nerea Sánchez-led girls are doing amazing, we are going to the Playoffs! It is the first time in TBS history in the Mini and Girls categories that we have reached this stage. We are in the Round of 32 playoffs on April 26th, at a time yet to be determined, at Javi Limones Stadium against Uros de Rivas A. The Girls Preferred Infantil First Year team has now improved its record to 9-7, against Colegio Menesiano (17-61). A good win for the girls coached by Dani Ríos and Osvaldo Deocares. Highlights from the match are available on our social channels. We are tied for fourth in the standings. We are visiting Colegio Miramadrid Paracuellos on April 26th, at a time yet to be determined, for the 55th-60th place in the league. The Girls Preferred Infantil team has won again, well done! The group had a solid final performance (46-53) against San Agustín B at their arena, and we continue to move forward. We are fourth, with a 14-7 record. We are playing this April 26th at the Javi Limones stadium against Movistar Estudiantes C, and we will soon know the time. The Infantil First Year team, well, they have done it again! 18-0, their record after their last win (7-57) against C.B. Pozuelo, playing away. Applause for this tremendous group. We will be back in action this April 26th in the Round of 32 against Patrocinio San José Negro, at a time yet to be announced. The Infantil Preferente Azul team fell short (30-49) against GAUDEM C.D.E. B, and we will have to wait to get that long-awaited second win of the season. This April 26th at the Javi Limones stadium, we will host BT Aquinas, and we are waiting to find out the time. Infantil B went for the win from the get-go, and that is what happened (20-71) against Revolution on April 5th, at their home stadium. The 20-1 season record is almost incontestable; it is simply exponential. We are playing against Colegio Joyfe this April 26th at a time yet to be announced at Javi Limones Stadium. The Infantil A team continues to do its homework and has won again (61-73) against Basket Leganés 2012 at the Carlos Sastre Stadium. This is their second win in this phase, which will determine the reclassification positions from 37th to 48th in the league. We will play again on April 27 against Juan de Austria at the Javi Limones Stadium, with a time yet to be announced. The Cadete Preferente Femenino team played at home (37-28) and has achieved another positive result against Arroyomolinos C.B. We are feeling good, and we improve to 14-7 in the league with this win. Colmenar Viejo A is next, and we will play this April 26 at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Stadium. The Cadete Blanco team has a huge, hard-fought victory (44-41) against Veritas Pozuelo to return to glory after several tough games. We are in tenth place with a 4-17 record. The next challenge will come against Mirasur School Azul, at their home arena on April 26. The Cadet First Year team battled hard and this time they gave it their all (65-41) against Colegio Miramadrid at the Javi Limones stadium. A tremendous victory for the Miggy Álvarez-led team. You can enjoy the highlights on our social channels. The Cadet Preferente team competed, but this time they suffered more than expected (88-44) against Distrito Carabanchel A at home. A game that looked complex in itself, as they are in second place in the standings and currently have an 18-3 record. We will play the next match on April 26 against Movistar Estudiantes A at a time yet to be determined. This will be at the Javi Limones stadium. The Cadet B team deserves applause, because they almost achieved their first win of the phase (67-66) against Baloncesto Leganés at the Carlos Sastre stadium. Having been eliminated, we have to wait a month until April 27th to return to the Javi Limones and face Pablo Laso Academy B for the 37th-48th place in the league. Cadete A worked hard and fought until the end (74-70), but we lost in the Play-In. Baloncesto Alcobendas A was our opponent, at the Pedro Ferrandiz Stadium on March 22nd. We will now play in the reclassification for the FBM 13th-15th place, this April 27th against Valcude Alcobendas at a time yet to be determined. Júnior Preferente Azul played a great away game (65-59) against Villanueva de La Cañada on April 5th. Despite losing, the feeling was unbeatable because they were within striking distance of the leader, who has only lost once in the league. We will return to action this April 26th against Movistar Estudiantes E, at a time yet to be determined at the Javi Limones Stadium. Junior Preferente Blanco is coming off two straight losses against C.B Moratalaz A at their arena (74-47) and against Colegio El Prado Negro (56-34), and we hope to get out of this funk by April 27th when we face Olímpico 64 at a time yet to be determined, at the Javi Limones Stadium. Junior B played another tremendous game at the El Plantío stadium (78-86), against C.B Coslada for the 37th to 48th place in the league. Diego Soto had a memorable performance, with a double-double of over 20 points and 20 rebounds for the Venezuelan player. We face San Viator on April 27th at the Pepe Domaica Stadium at 1:00 PM. Junior A is awaiting the reclassification games, so we are resting this weekend. We will be battling for 13th-15th place in the league starting April 27th against Uros de Rivas A, kicking off at Los Almendros at a time yet to be announced. The U-22 Bronze team had a break to rehearse this weekend, April 5th-6th. And what is coming up on the calendar is the start of the league Round of 16 on April 27th, against Eurocolegio Casvi at the Javi Limones Stadium, at a time yet to be announced. The U-22 Silver team played another solid game and continued to win away from home (67-98) against Distrito Carabanchel A on April 6th. The Playoffs begin, and we are headed toward the Round of 16 on April 27th, against Uros de Rivas B, kicking off this tie at the Javi Limones Stadium. We will provide the schedule. The U-22 Gold team does not let up the pressure, and gets it again (64-73) against Uros de Rivas A. We are just one win away from taking the top spot in the standings, and the Nacho Gallego-led team is going for more. They began their FBM Playoff journey in the Round of 16 on April 13, against I.E. University at Javi Limones Stadium. This will be at 10:00 a.m. In the Second Autonomous Division, Torrejón Spartans let Basket Aranjuez, a direct rival for mid-table positions, slip away this time (59-69) on April 6 at Javi Limones Stadium. We are in seventh place, with an 11-11 record. And to finish #LaCrónica, the TBS National Senior team did not have a good day in this start of the VIP Round of 16, against Baloncesto Atocha La Hipoteca de Tu Vida (62-75) at Javi Limones Stadium.
