U-22 Bronze will go to the Playoffs, as well as all other U-22 squads

We are reaching the exciting part of the season, and #LaCronica has all the latest from Torrejón Basketball Academy, following March 28th and 29th in our categories.

The U-22 Bronze medal was awarded, the Mini categories were in the Playoffs, and the National Senior team rested after finishing the regular season in the VIPS League at the top and alone. We are the top seed for the Primera Nacional Playoffs, once again.

First-Year Girls Benjamin lost (0-51) to Baloncesto Rivas Sureste, the undefeated leaders of the group. Ciudad de Móstoles 2017 will visit the Javi Limones stadium at 9:00 a.m. on April 5th, seeking the 45th to 48th reclassification spots in the league.

The Second-Year Girls Benjamín put in a very decent performance (50-34) despite losing to Colegio Valdeluz. We are sixth in the standings with a 4-10 record. We head into April 5th against C.B. Coslada at 4:00 PM at Javi Limones Stadium.

The First-Year Boys Alevín team won against A.D.C. Boadilla, the fourth-place team in the league (45-31). We remain firmly in third place with a 10-6 record and are working to climb to the top spot. Alcorcón Basket B will face their next opponent on April 5th at 12:00 PM, and this game will be played at their home arena.

The First-Year Girls Alevín team began with a loss in the Round of 32 playoffs on March 29th (44-67) at Javi Limones Stadium against Baloncesto Rivas Parque Sureste. Highlights are available on YouTube. The José Gismero-led team must turn this result around on April 5th, away at 9:30 AM.

The White Boys Alevín Second-Year Team scored a huge win against Valcude Alcobendas, a direct rival we are chasing in the standings, on the road (43-47). We are in fifth place in the standings. We will be off on the weekend of April 6th.

The Torrejón Boys Alevín Second-Year Team now defeated Movistar Estudiantes Garino (69-19) on March 22nd at the Javi Limones Stadium. We are ahead with a 16-1 record. Playoffs, Playoffs! A tremendous campaign from the David Sánz Jr-led team, with a stellar Maxi Maxt. We are in the Round of 32 playoffs on April 26th at the Ángel Durango Stadium, against Lions Basket Arroyomolinos A, with a time yet to be determined.

The Girls Alevin Second-Year Team secured another victory (39-70) against Valcude Alcobendas at their home stadium. We lead the standings with a 17-1 record. The Nerea Sánchez-led girls are doing amazing! We are going to the playoffs! It is the first time in TBS history in the Junior and Girls categories that we have reached this stage. We are in the Round of 32 playoffs on April 26th, at a time yet to be determined, at Javi Limones Stadium against Uros de Rivas A.

The First Year Girls Preferred Infantil team now managed to improve their record to 9-7, against Colegio Menesiano (17-61). A good win for the girls coached by Dani Ríos and Osvaldo Deocares. Highlights of the match are available on our social channels. We are tied for fourth place in the standings. We are visiting Colegio Miramadrid Paracuellos on April 26th, at a time yet to be determined, for the 55th-60th place in the league.

The Girls Preferred Infantil team won (34-22) on March 29th at Javi Limones Stadium against Liceo Francés Nico. The squad knew how to push hard at the right moments and we emerged victorious. We are fifth in the standings, with a 13-7 record. We will play San Agustín B at their arena in the Hispanoamérica neighborhood on April 6th at 10:45 AM.

The Infantil First Year team, well, they have done it again! 18-0, their record after their last win (7-57) against C.B. Pozuelo, away. Applause for this tremendous group. We will be back in action on April 26th in the Round of 32 against Patrocinio San José Negro, at a time yet to be announced.

The Infantil Preferente Azul team fell 51-1 against Valdefuentes BF Blanco at that school and without much opposition. We were severely outplayed on defense by the undefeated leader of the standings. We will play GAUDEM C.D.E. B on April 5th at Javi Limones Stadium at 12:30 PM.

The U14 Infantil B team went to Ángel Nieto against A.D.C Boadilla B (36-61) and bounced back from their first defeat of the season, winning this one in great fashion. We remain in first place with a 19-1 record. We will play against Revolution on April 5th, at their arena, at 4:30 PM.

The U14 Infantil A team continues to do their homework and won again (53-84) on March 30th in San Blas against Distrito Olímpico B. We started this phase with a 1-0 record. We continue in this third phase in the Bronze category, and on April 6th at 4:45 PM we will play Basket Leganés 2012, at the Carlos Sastre Stadium.

Cadete Preferente Femenino team went to C.B. Getafe and earned a (53-63) result, moving up to fourth place in the competition with a 13-7 record. Arroyomolinos C.B. will be the upcoming challenge, this April 5th at 2:15 PM at Javi Limones.

Cadete 2010 Blanco fell (90-47) to Corazonistas Blanco on the road on March 29th. We are now 3-17 in the competition. We will return to the Javi Limones stadium on April 5th at 9:00 AM, against Veritas Pozuelo.

Cadete Primero Año (First Year Cadet) fought for the second straight game against one of the favorites (45-67), but it was not enough to defeat Baloncesto Alcalá. We will have a weekend off for the next match. We will return to action on April 5th against Colegio Miramadrid at Javi Limones stadium, at 10:45 AM.

Cadete Preferente (Preferred Cadet) competed, and won! Congratulations to the Tomás Morales-led kids, who were able to achieve their third win of the year (54-40) against Revolution A, and get a breath of fresh air. Highlights are available on our social channels. We have climbed to tenth place in the standings with this win. We hope to continue scoring victories when we head to the Distrito Carabanchel A arena on April 5th at 8:00 PM.

The Cadet B team deserves a round of applause, having nearly secured their first win of the phase (67-66) against Baloncesto Leganés at the Carlos Sastre Stadium. Having been eliminated, we have to wait a month until April 27th to return to the Javi Limones Stadium and face Pablo Laso Academy B for the 37th to 48th places in the league.

Cadete A team worked hard and fought until the end (74-70), but we lost in this past weekend Play-In. Baloncesto Alcobendas A was our opponent, at the Pedro Ferrandiz Stadium on March 22nd. We will now play in the reclassification for the FBM positions from 13th to 15th, on April 27th against Valcude Alcobendas at a time yet to be determined.

Júnior Preferente Azul recovered at the Javi Limones Stadium (63-42), winning against Baloncesto San Fernando. We leveled our record at 4-4 in this phase. A good result for the José Ginés-led team. We will travel to Villanueva de La Cañada to face this opponent on April 5th at 1:00 PM.

Júnior Preferente Blanco is coming off two straight losses against C.B Moratalaz A at their arena (74-47) and against Colegio El Prado Negro (56-34). We hope to get out of this slump by April 27th when we face Olímpico 64 at a time yet to be determined, at the Javi Limones Stadium.

Júnior B played a tremendous game at the C.D Estudio stadium (65-66) and defeated them in the final round. This was their second win in this phase, and one that counts for a lot. We will play this April 5th at 5:45 PM in El Plantío against C.B. Coslada for the 37th to 48th spots in the league.

Júnior A did not have a good afternoon (67-86) in the Play-In against Pablo Laso Academy A at Javi Limones Stadium, and we are off the road on the FBM Gold Playoffs. We now have to wait for the reclassification games, so we will rest this weekend.

The U-22 Bronze team had another great game on March 30th away (61-70) against Meco Basketball Academy. We are off to the Playoffs! Congratulations to Miggy Álvarez and his entire team for this achievement. Carlos Marín was the most outstanding offensively, and the highlights are on our social channels. We are now up 11-5, as now the second placed team in the FBM standings. We will have a rest day to assess this weekend, April 5th-6th.

The U-22 Silver team played another solid game and continued their winning ways (68-49) against Maravillas at home. We continue to close in on the lead, remaining second with a 16-3 record. We travel to the Carabanchel A District Arena on April 6 at 8:00 PM.

The U-22 Gold team continues to push hard, achieving it again (64-73) against Uros de Rivas A. We remain just one win away from taking the top spot in the standings, and the Nacho Gallego-led team is going for more. They will begin their FBM Playoff journey in the Round of 16 on April 13 against I.E. University at Javi Limones Stadium. We will announce the scheduled time soon.

In the Second Autonomous Division, Torrejón Spartans came back and managed to secure it (53-57) in a great game in San Agustín de Los Negrales against Baloncesto Villalba. This is our eleventh league victory. This April 6th at 7:30 PM, we will be back in the game at home when we host Basket Aranjuez, a direct rival for the midfield positions, at the Javi Limones Stadium.

And to wrap up #LaCrónica, the TBS Senior National Team has achieved its goal and repeated last seasons performance (87-93) after defeating the Pau Monroig-led C.D. Estudio in Aravaca on March 23rd. We are headed to the playoffs as the VIPS regular season leader. Go for it! 17-5 is our record, and now we are headed to the VIPS Round of 16 against Baloncesto Atocha, La Hipoteca de Tu Vida. This will be on April 5th at 7:30 PM at the Javi Limones Stadium.
