The time has come to lower the curtain: Yes, the latest edition of #LaCronica has arrived where we review the action of the last FBM weekends of June 1st and 2nd as well as what happened on June 8th and 9th. Weekends of podiums, medals and also championships:

After the Second Year Benjamín Blanco is champion of the Eastern Region of Madrid after closing its phase in May, The Paco Merino-led team have shown what they are made of and have achieved an enormous result. We are Fifth in all of Madrid! Also, do not forget the honorable mention to Benjamín Azul, who lost in the League Quarterfinals, and who have had a tremendous season as well.

The Alevines finished their great seasons in the Marco Aldany League, and of course we congratulate them for this great effort. We continue to improve.

The Infantil Girls Preferential ended their year in style this past June 1st, as visitors winning (36-38) against Claudina Thevenet Jesús María and obtaining that revenge. We finished the phase with a 3-3 record, and so did the season. We have the action of this game in highlights on the YouTube channel.

The Infantil Preferente has closed the qualifying phase this June 1st at 12:30 against Movistar Estudiantes D at the Nuria Fernández (21-47) with a defeat. We said goodbye to the season like this, with a 2-4 record in the phase.

The Cadete Femenino went to the last game of the phase to defend our first place in the table, on June 1st at 10:45 at the home of Movistar Estudiantes A, in Magariños Academy (31-52) with victory. We finished with multiple consecutive victories, with a 4-2 record as leaders. We enjoy these highlights on YouTube.

Our Blue Cadet 2009 went to the last qualifying round game against Baloncesto San Fernando, this June 1st at the Nuria Fernández (45-42) and our victory secured our second place in the table with a 4-2 record.

Cadete Blanco 2009 lost in a great game this June 1st at the Nuria Fernández (52-53) against Raíces Móstoles C. Likewise, we closed the phase and the season in second position with a 4-2 record.

The Torrejón 2008 B Basketball Cadet had a crucial last day at the beginning of June when on the 1st of the month at they played against Parque Cataluña Torrejón Negro at the Nuria Fernández (57-47) and they were beaten. We finished the phase and the 2023-2024 season in third place, with a 3-3 record.

Cadet A finished in the Gold category with a 3-0 record in the phase, with one goal more than accomplished. We are fifth in Madrid.

Junior A returned to action in the reclassification for places from fifth to eighth in Madrid, against Pablo Laso Academy (77-78) this May 19th at the Javi Limones. An absolute parity against this rival, who finishes sixth in Madrid, winning the overall tie by just one point. Congratulate Agustín Sánchez for competing in a big way with this group in 2006 and 2007, as well as the coaching staff, and say goodbye to the graduates from their junior phase towards the senior jump.

The Under-22 Bronze is champion! Wohoo! Great work by the group. We started the semifinals this June 1st, away (65-59) against Valcude Alcobendas B with a defeat that disrupted the plans. The return game? It was June 2nd, at the Javi Limones (81-73) and we made a spectacular comeback, despite the points deficit, with a last-second three-pointer by David Peral that gave us the final +2 advantage and a pass to the final . This great play and celebration, on YouTube. For the Grand Final in a double match, we faced Mirasur School, another great rival that in the first game on June 8th knew how to win the away game (64-62), and we returned again to create the epic at the Javi Limones. And yes, we have done it: on June 9th (78-50) and supported by our fans, the kids have achieved it, and we have celebrated the championship at home. What a time for all of TBS. Congratulations to everyone, Nacho Gallego, Agustín Sánchez and the coaching staff. The gold medal stays at home.

The U-22 Gold was third place in Madrid! Without a doubt, a vibrant campaign for both under-22 teams, who were also league leaders in the regular season. Bittersweet perhaps about our Gold group, which fell in the Final Four (79-81) on June 8th with 1.8 seconds left in the free throws against Movistar Estudiantes. But, later, we were able to take our place on the podium and the bronze medal by beating C.B Villa de Valdemoro (51-65) in La Canaleja de Alcorcón.

Thus we have ended another great season, with ups and downs, fun, medals and titles.

This is Torrejón de Ardoz.

Long live the Torrejón Basketball Academy.
