The Lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin State have visited and known the hospitality of Torrejón de Ardoz in what has been the beginning of their tour in Spain, which takes them after our city to Zaragoza and Barcelona respectively.

There, they will continue on with other preseason scrimmages and of course, know more & enjoy the Spanish culture. Two matches and two wins for the Nacogdoches based university, a rural area east of the great state of Texas. They played an "All Stars" select squad which used our clothing gear and also had some TBS Academy and Tecmoon Torrejón senior players among the roster invites, such as Victor Santos, Fabio Valdivia or the top prospect Insa Kane, still only 15 years old.

His coach, Kyle Keller, goes to his third season in charge of the team. Hailing from Dallas, he an affinity with Spain and also among its curiosities, he was the recruiter of a top national such as Eric Vilá, towards his NCAA path. Speaking of SFA, their best years in the NCAA were the 2012-2013 and the 2015-2016 seasons, where they set a 32-3 record in the regular season, and in both years they have finished 18-0 in Southland Conference games that took them to the March Madness; both attempts ending with Second Round defeats.
